Weather Proofing Kit

Weather proofing kit for connectors and splices includes butyl rubber tape and PVC tape. It creates a durable, multi-layer environmental seal for multiple connections, ensuring extended protection and longer service life for wires and joints.
It includes

  • Six rolls of 2-1/2” butyl rubber tape
  • Two rolls of 3/4” (19mm) PVC Electrical tape
  • One roll of 2” (51 mm) PVC Electrical Tape

Electrical Tape

Electrical tape used in Frontier weatherproofing kits is a high quality insulating tape. It has excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, alkalies, acid, copper corrosion and varying weather conditions (including sunlight).

Butyl Tape

Butyl tape used in Frontier weatherproofing kits is an elastomeric, extruded butyl rubber sealant with a silicone release liner, developed to seal a wide range of construction joints. It also offers excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation.

  • Repairing outer sheath of telecom cable
  • For water-proof protection of joint of telecom equipment antenna and feeder
  • For water-proof protection of joint of aerial insulation conductor
